I completed my first OCR in the spring of 2015, and I have been hooked ever since. Being a runner and a fitness enthusiast, OCR intrigued me, giving me new ways to challenge and push myself outside my comfort zone.
I am inspired by the camaraderie of the other competitors and their stories of shattering limitations. I began racing in the women’s elite masters division in 2016 placing 3rd at the Houston Spartan Sprint and 2nd at the Spartan Stadium Sprint in Dallas.
Juggling a husband who travels for work, three kids, and a career makes training a challenge, but I am determined and a firm believer that if you are passionate about something and work hard at it, you will be successful. Continuing to push myself in my training, I am focused on my goal of making it to the top of the podium

Most Memorable Race
They are all memorable to me in some way. If I had to pick one it would be the Houston Spartan Sprint. It was my first race as an elite master and I was nervous as heck. The course was muddy and wet, which makes everything more difficult. Finishing that race gave me a huge amount of respect for the other racers and confidence in my training.
